FAQ’s + Policies

General

  • FMWK is a full-body and low-impact Lagree workout completed on the Megaformer. The Lagree Method combines slow and controlled motions that focuses on endurance muscle fibers and your smaller stabilizing muscles — you will feel muscles that you didn’t even know existed! Lagree uses bodybuilding training technique to effectively combine strength training with endurance and core. It will leave your body shaking, sweating, and sore the next day!

  • FMWK is accessible to all fitness levels. All classes offer modifications and options you can take as you grow in your practice. Our instructors are trained to work with your ability level, and with small class sizes, you can expect plenty of personal attention to ensure you are getting the most out of your practice.

    If you suffer from chronic back pain, painful joints, or a severe medical condition, we recommend an initial private session to assess your fitness level.

  • Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Those under 18 must provide a guardian/parent signature before taking class.

  • Book class online through our Mindbody Online scheduling site or the Framework Ottawa app. You can book up to 5 days in advance.

  • Yes! Due to very small class sizes, pre-registration is required for all classes. Online booking is available up to 5 days in advance. We recommend downloading the Framework Ottawa app on your phone to easily manage your bookings.

  • The studio does not have showers available. We have two gender-neutral bathrooms available for your needs.

  • We do not have lockers. We recommend keeping personal belongings to a minimum when coming to class.

First Time

  • Yes! All clients must create an account and agree to the waiver in order to purchase a package and book class. Sign up online through our Mindbody Online scheduling site or the Framework Ottawa app.

  • Most of the classes are all-levels. ‘The Details’ is specifically designed for beginners and a great place to start to receive more thorough instructions and attention to get you comfortable with the Megaformer and movements. ‘The Frame’ is our signature class and is also suitable for first-timers. ‘The Work’ is more challenging as it focuses solely on glutes and core.

  • Wear comfortable clothing you can easily move in, much like you’d wear to the gym or a yoga class. Bring grip socks (mandatory), a water bottle and a small towel (optional).

  • If it is your first time at Framework, please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance so we can give you a quick run through of the Megaformer. Doors will open 15 minutes before class, and lock once class begins.

Grip Socks Policy

  • Yes. For sanitary and safety reasons, grip socks are mandatory for every class, no exceptions. Bring your own or purchase at the studio. If you are not wearing them, our staff will kindly request that you purchase a pair before class.

Class Policies

  • No. Once class begins, doors will be locked and there will be no late arrivals allowed.

    Please arrive for class at least 5-10 minutes in advance. Doors will open 15 minutes before class begins.

  • We have a strict NO PHONE policy during class, and we ask that you leave your device on silent in your bag. Please note that filming during class is prohibited. Save the selfies for before or after class!

  • Framework Ottawa has a 8 hour cancellation policy. You can cancel a booking without charge at any time if it’s at least 8 hours before class. Please cancel your bookings online through your account.

    If you cancel your class within 8 hours of your scheduled class time, you will incur a $25 late cancellation fee if you are on a membership pricing option. If you have a class package or drop in, the class will be deducted from your account.

    If you miss a class without cancelling you will incur a no show fee of $30 if you are on a membership pricing option, or a class will be deducted from your account if you have a class package or drop in.

  • We highly recommend adding yourself to the waitlist if your desired class is full!

    Waitlist spots are to be treated like a regular booking. It is assumed that everyone who is on the waitlist is still able to attend class. You can cancel your waitlist spot at any time without penalization if you are no longer able to attend.

    Payment is required to hold a spot on the waitlist - if you do not make it into the class you were waitlisted for, the credit will remain on your account for a later use.

    If a space opens up more than 8 hours before the scheduled class time you will be added to the class and will receive a text/email confirming your spot in class. If you can no longer attend, you will be able to cancel your spot without penalization, provided that it’s not within 8 hours before class.

    If a space opens up less than 8 hours before the scheduled class time, you will automatically be added to the class and will receive a text/email confirming your spot in class, however you will not be able to cancel out of the class without incurring a late cancellation fee.

  • You can sign up for a membership online or in studio.

  • Our membership options offer different tiers depending on how often you want to attend class (once a week, twice a week, 4x a week or unlimited). All memberships auto-renew every 30 days and require a minimum 4-month commitment. Find more info about the different tiers here.

  • Absolutely! Email us at info@frameworkottawa.com and we will set you up!

  • You can top up your month by purchasing a discounted drop in. The discount will apply automatically at check out when you book a class.

  • All memberships require a minimum 4-month commitment. If you need to cancel your membership after your initial 4 months, we require 30 days notice by email to info@frameworkottawa.com.
